Belonged to George IV, King of the United Kingdom (1762-1830) when Prince of Wales
A pair of silver-gilt sauce boats, elaborately cast in the form of a nautilus shell, with gadroons and a scroll border; the handle cast as a sea-monster; supported on an oval rocaille base with entwined snake around the stem. Each sauce boat is engraved with the Prince of Wales’s feathers.
